"Unfortunately, it is not the endorsement of a House of Assembly (especially a docile and rubber stamp like this)that makes one the President in Nigeria! The constitution of Nigeria hasn't listed this as one of the requirements! "They are just massaging Bello's ego and licking his boots, perhaps their pockets are dry!"

Emmanuel Allade Onuh said:
"I'm aware that as a nation we are searching for someone that will lead us. And I know for sure that when we see that someone we will know. But as it stands now, we have not seen that someone yet."

Emmanuel Eban wrote:
"This is an insult on the institute of the presidency to say the least. A monumental failure like Yahaya Bello can aspire to such an otherwise exalted position speaks to the level Nigeria has fallen."

Ubasinachi Ugwu added:
"Yahaya Bello don't even have the capacity and capabilities to lead Kogi state well, not to talk of leading Nigeria....I challenge him to face squarely the numerous problems of Kogi state first."
